There are no entry requirements for this course but You should be able to follow spoken and written instructions, add, subtract, multiply and divide.You should be able to use a keyboard and mouse and understand the principles of file management.

Course content:
You will be introduced to Excel, Microsoft's spreadsheet software, and given a general overview of the concepts, terms and functions of spreadsheets.
By the end of the course you will be able to:-
Create worksheets in Excel.
Perform calculations using formulae and functions.
Convert numerical data into charts/graphs and make changes to them.
Use worksheets and spreadsheets.
Enhance the appearance of worksheets using formatting.
Course Structure:
You will have the use of your own computer to practice and learn + online facilities. Step by step instruction, with demonstrations will be given. You will then try it for yourself with help from the tutor and each other. You will also get written instructions, handouts and exercises to do.
Course resources:
All students have access to computers. This includes free internet access.
Assessment:
Observation of tasks by tutor, checking of task printouts, question and answer. Exercises according to level. Self Assessment through Progress Records
